Background

CES Waldorf works in Ciudad Bolívar (Bogotá), in a difficult physical and social context of extreme poverty, sense of loss and violence.

CES Waldorf is a non-profit entity that seeks to dignify the human condition through programs based on the fundamentals of Waldorf Pedagogy.

The program of CES Waldorf is built through a friendly collaboration among students and teachers, parents and friends, a collaboration filled with trust and a common purpose for the future.

CES Waldorf’s supports educational and community processes, nutritionally reinforces the children and families who need it the most and facilitates the search for solutions to vital problems.

The Founder

“My interest from an early age was to help children and youth in an abandoned and impoverished state, probably based on my own experiences in the city of Berlin in the post war years of 1945/1946.”

Helmut von Loebell, born in Berlin in 1937, has lived in Colombia since 1956.  Since 1979 he has alternated between Colombia and Salzburg, Austria. He is an administrator of industrial businesses and the co-founder of different social projects nationally and internationally.
