The situation of violence that many families attending CES Waldorf have had to cope with has generated feelings of abandonment, fear, indifference and intolerance. These conditions harm the capacity of self-protection and build resistance in the families to socially and productively integrate to the requirements of their time.

This program is a holistic system of attention, a generator of alternatives to promote social change, the transformation of family dynamics and the fostering dignity. The children, youth and families who participate in our programs see themselves free, complete and generous human beings. The program also establishes a social network of support that facilitates the inclusion of these families into public or private programs that support their development. Furthermore, the program promotes and supports community organization, fostering solidarity among families, neighbors and local institutions.

The full-time program serves nearly 160 families, accounting for 600 people. Its activities center around five lines of intervention: individual attention, socio-family attention, interdisciplinary work, community and social development, and inter-institutional action. The work includes monitoring and supporting families in vulnerable situations, preventing and treating domestic violence, providing nutritional support, legal advice and access to social services, crisis intervention, family orientation and brief therapy. Within the main objectives of the programs are providing services, monitoring processes, home visits and supporting activities generated by the other programs of CES Waldorf.
