This program serves all children affiliated with the CES Waldorf and their families. It is responsible for evaluating children’s growth and development, advising familes suffering from malnutricion, helping them gain access to the National Health System, and training parents at community centers and in domestic visits.
The Health Promotion and Prevention Program, in concert with the Social Work Program, allows teachers and parents to explore self-perception and self-knowledge experiences. This is to say, that appointments, interviews, domestic visits, training and community gatherings become esthetic, playful, and pedagocial tools to transform the families’ realities.
With the support of an ear and speech specialist, the program also works on early detection and treatment of children with learning difficulties, focusing not only on the cognitive and developmental aspects, but also on an exploration of the emotional and relational conditions of the children and their homes.
